I'm Annie, and frankly, I'm not as cool as I used to be- but that's ok, I'm working on it again now that the babies are out of diapers and growing up.
I've lived in many corners of this country, from the great windy city to high in the mountains out west, in the vast expanses of concrete in Dallas, near the sandy beaches of SoCal, and in leafy, bucolic New England. But I'm raising two nifty little ladies with my handsome and handy husband in my treasured home state which gives us cheese for melting, beer for drinking and the slicked-back cool of The Fonz.
I'm educated as a furniture designer/maker, and have been employed in many places that give me good fodder for dinner parties. I've also been my own boss, and it turns out I'm the boss I can't help but hate: hard on me one minute, then encouraging me play hooky the next. I never knew where I stood.
And now I'm going back to school to become an NP, and I'm afraid of losing touch with the funky girl I've been my whole life while studying all this sciency stuff, so I'm starting this blog.
